Commercial Vehicles and Non-Road Applications

Tenneco is leading in the development and production of exhaust systems for commercial vehicles in the on-road and non-road areas. Usually, diesel engines are used here.

To achieve compliance with the requirements of the Euro 3/stage 3 emission standard, the use of diesel oxidation catalysts was sufficient. Future limit values require further drastic reductions of nitrogen oxides and particulate emissions. For this purpose, Tenneco develops SCR systems and particulate filter systems with appropriate regeneration technologies.

Since the beginning of the nineties, Tenneco has been producing particulate filter systems for specific applications, e.g. fork lifters. Tenneco SCR systems have already been in serial production since 2004.
